Ryoji Ikeda
Ryoji Ikeda, the Japanese master of sonic minimalism, blurred the line between human and machine with his performance ultratronics – a meticulously engineered realm where data, light and sound are stripped to their mathematical core and rebuilt.
By rehearsing key shooting positons at the Melbourne Town Hall our ground team of documentarians were able to channel the mesmeric qualities of Ikeda's set with strong compostion and careful exposure for strobing.
